Love?

What is love? baby don't hurt.... no no but seriously what is this thing called love? Is it that tingly feeling you get when you see someone that you like? Is it how you feel about your bestfriends or your family? Every person has their own specific idea of what love is so clearly theres no way to answer any of these questions universally.  Take a second and think about what love is to you...and think of how your idea of love could e contradicted by things that have happened in your life our in other peoples lives that you know about.

It's definitely not the most simple idea, love is very complex. many people split love into categories like the way i love my friends or my family or the way i love the person I'm in a relationship with or even the way I love my god. To be honest thats something i used to do but I've realized that to me thats meaningless because love is one word that represents one emotion, an emotion that I'm fairly certain i wont even experience in its entirely and its full pureness. I highly doubt that ill end up with a person that I will do anything for or will stay with no matter the circumstances or so on and so forth. When you look at the statistics of the divorce rate or even if i look at my own family love is scarce. It's one of those things that people under value and over use and it tends to mislead people when its used untruthfully or without merit.

I hear people say the love on a daily basis and when i hear someone say 'i love you' to me I'm flattered but i don't usually take it seriously... there have been way to many times where people have told me such things and then ended up out of my life and i don't doubt for a second that this has happened to everyone that is reading this right now. Please no one take offence to this, if I say 'I love you' to anyone it doesn't mean that i don't mean it its more along the lines of a social norm to say such things as a way to express the way that we feel about someone so please don't take what I'm saying the wrong way because if I do say it that means you are important to my life.

Anyway, back on track. What is love? In my completely personal opinion i believe that love is a perfect idea but does it exist in our world? i don't think so. In a perfect world love would be everywhere but in the world that we live in with all of its imperfections and hate and all the negative that exists (mind you it is necessary to keep our universe in balance) the very essential design of unbounded endless indestructible love cannot exist.

I know many of you will completely disagree with me but I must get back to my studying. TO BE CONTINUED.

Insignificance

Many people think about the infinite thing that we all call our universe and it gets people thinking about their insignificance in this endless space but very little stop to think about how even in the vastness of the universe that we can be significant. I am not a religious person nor am I an atheist but for the purpose of my argument I will eliminate God from the picture. We all serve a purpose on this earth and no I don't mean just use humans but also all living things and even non living because we all affect each other one way or another. Our lives revolve around our daily routines and our personal problems which to us mean the world . We all need to stop and understand that every single person on this Earth be they famous or not, rich or poor, black or white all share the same exact problems. The microcosm that is our Earth in the limited time that we spend on it is EVERYTHING to us and no matter how big the macrocosm of the universe may be we are still in existence and we affect the people that surround us, the things that surround us and every single thing that we one way or another come in contact with. Whenever you feel insignificant think about all the people that depend on you all the things that you have done in your lifetime and all the people who's lives you may have changed and then think to yourself do these people think you are insignificant? In the grand scheme of things maybe we are not all that important but one way or another we do mean something and you can zoom out form this Earth as much as you can possibly go but eventually you will come back to reality and understand that the life you live is all that matters and worrying about the heavens above and how large they are does not make you any less of a person then you always were and always will be.

(my first attempt at writing down my ideas. I hope it was somewhat understandable.)
